Description
The emume "ịwa ji or iri ji" (new yam festival) is as the same as the Church people's "harvest celebration".
Before the coming of the white people, we have been celebrating the new yam festival all over Igbo lands and other parts of Africa. The new yam festival day, is a day set aside to thank the divine architect of the universe for the provision of bountiful harvest and good health.
God created us Africans and made us unique as a people, but the coming of the white people destroyed all the divine endowments.
I pray God to grant this generation of Africa the wisdom to reclaim our land, love our land and respect our unique way of life.
