ABLS is a continental platform designed to bring together influential leaders, policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, professionals, development partners, academics, and other key stakeholders to engage in strategic conversations, identify opportunities, and build partnerships that contribute to Africa's economic transformation. Following the success and growing interest generated by the inaugural edition, ABLS 2.0 seeks to deepen the conversation by moving beyond dialogue towards practical collaboration, investment opportunities, knowledge exchange, and partnerships capable of delivering measurable impact. The 2027 edition will be held under the theme: “Positioning Africa for Global Competitiveness: Leadership, Innovation and Sustainable Growth.” The Summit will examine how Africa can strengthen its competitive position in the global economy through effective leadership, innovation, strategic investment, regional integration, human capital development, and sustainable growth. OBJECTIVES OF THE SUMMIT The Summit will pursue the following objectives: 1. Promote High-Level Leadership DialogueFacilitate meaningful conversations between government, business, financial institutions, development organisations, and other stakeholders on Africa's economic and leadership priorities. 2. Advance Trade and InvestmentPromote investment opportunities, intra-African trade, export development, and partnerships capable of strengthening African economies. 3. Strengthen Cross-Border CollaborationCreate opportunities for governments, businesses, institutions, and entrepreneurs from different African countries to establish strategic partnerships. 4. Advance Innovation-Driven GrowthExplore how technology, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and innovation can be leveraged to address Africa's development challenges and improve global competitiveness. 5. Promote Sustainable DevelopmentEncourage business and policy approaches that balance economic growth with environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and long-term development. 6. Strengthen Africa's Human CapitalHighlight the importance of education, skills development, leadership development, and talent retention in building a globally competitive African workforce. 7. Create Practical Partnership OpportunitiesMove beyond conversations by facilitating networking, business connections, investment conversations, exhibitions, and sector-specific engagements. ABLS 2.0 is therefore not simply a conference. It is a platform for dialogue, connection, investment, collaboration, and action. We invite governments, businesses, investors, institutions, development partners, and other stakeholders committed to Africa's advancement to join us in shaping the continent's next chapter. Together, we can position Africa to compete, collaborate, innovate and thrive on the global stage.
