The plastic bucket heat transfer machine applys at a much faster rate than other methods of shirt printing. This is due to fewer steps, preparations, and less of a learning curve. As you get more familiar with your heat press, the digital timer will become your best friend. The timer is set depending on the type of fabric being used and will beep when the heat transfer is complete. While the press is working its magic you have time to set up the next shirt. Thus making the printing process faster and more efficient.
2) Pressure is Consistent
One of the most important variables when applying transfers to fabric is pressure. With that old iron, the level of pressure applied can be hard to measure. This becomes problematic when the manufacturer suggests a certain number of pressure. Even worse, if you push too hard or for too long your garment might scorch. After all, an iron wasn’t made for doing heat transfers. The perfect pressure can mean the difference between a shirt that has peeling vinyl letters after five months and a smoothly adhered shirt that lasts years.
3) Save Money
Heat transfer is the most cost effective garment decoration method for small quantity orders. The unit cost per garment is unmatched in the printing industry. This allows customers to order just a few items here and there without the cost ballooning.
4) Larger Pressing Area
When you have numerous orders, pressing the images in different stages can be a hassle. The size of your iron plate is only 5x3 inches — and that’s if you purchased a wide end model! It might work pressing the transfer on in stages, but it definitely is not time efficient or ideal.
5) Temperature is Spot on
Many products require a specific temperature to press on, like cotton, polyester, spandex, and blended fabric. The dial on irons click between linen, cotton, wool, silk, etc. It doesn’t have the option to select specific temperature, therefore you never really have an exact idea of hot your iron is getting. Not knowing the exact temperature may result in melting and scorching, or areas not getting hot enough to properly adhere the ink.

In addition, their resistance to chemical damage makes them ideal compared to other plastics, like acrylic for example, that may be damaged when using powerful cleaners.
Perhaps the most common use for expanded PVC foam boards is signage–specifically for outdoor usage where durability against corrosion is crucial. When business owners need a sign that can stand the test of time outside in the elements, they often turn to expanded PVC foam boards.
Once again, because of its durability, it isn’t uncommon to find PVC foam boards for use as wall paneling or office furniture. It can also be utilized for photo mounting.
In retail space, an expanded PVC foam board may be used for an exhibit booth, signage or a display. PVC foam sheets also come in a wide range of colors, making it more versatile option for commercial applications that call for durability, as well as pleasing aesthetics.
Whether you’re interested in a strong plastic for promotional materials or interior design in an office space, expanded PVC boards may be the perfect solution for your needs.

The first thing of PVC cabinet board to consider is what you will be using your deck for. Different decking boards will hold better under rigorous use. If you plan on holding nightly barbecues or hanging out outside on chairs that scrape and move around, then a sturdier capped board might be for you. If your deck is a place that will be visited less frequently and by fewer people, then a less rugged pressure treated board with a sealant might offer you the results you need at a better price.
2. WHAT IS YOUR PRICE RANGE?
The other thing to consider is pricing. There are several different levels of price starting with pressure treated boards, then wood composite boards, capped wood composite boards, PVC boards, and lastly, variegated capped composite boards, which are at the higher end of the price spectrum.
Since different materials yield different maintenance and upkeep, as well as a different look, it’s important to determine your price range while also thinking about what you’d like your deck to be used for. A cheaper deck up front could lead to higher maintenance costs later in the life.
You can talk to our deck experts in each location for assistance in setting a budget for your project. We have sample deck quotes with current pricing that will make it easy to start considering your deck project. The deck boards can range from $3-$15/sq ft and railing options can run $7-$70 linear foot – so there are a lot of options to consider. When comparing prices, be sure to consider all costs including concrete, posts, fasteners etc. Again, we’re here to help you with all of that so there are no surprises! Sit back, relax, and enjoy your new deck.

PVC lumber is a premium material -- more expensive than composite lumber materials; it is impermeable to moisture and won't swell or develop mold problems. You can cut PVC lumber with conventional wood saws, but you glue boards together in the same way you glue PVC pipes: by using solvent-weld cement. The cement softens the plastic and actually fuses the boards you are joining into a single piece.
Step 1
Dry-fit the PVC celuka board you are joining carefully before you apply any glue. Mark the exact positions you need to place them, using a pencil. The glue has a very short open time -- less than a minute -- and you have to work quickly once you apply it.
Step 2
Separate the boards and spread solvent-weld glue liberally on both surfaces using the applicator that comes in the container.
Step 3
Press the boards together immediately after spreading the glue, and clamp them together with C-clamps or bar clamps. Tighten the clamps enough to close the joint. Avoid excessive pressure, or the glue may soften too much plastic and the boards may deform.
Step 4
Leave the boards clamped until the glue dries, which takes two to three hours. Chip away any dried glue that squeezed out of the joint with a chisel after you remove the clamps.

Especially prevalent on older and uncapped PVC cabinet board, mold shows up quickly and is more difficult to eradicate than you’d expect. The mold seems to grow heavily not just on the surface, but inside the rough texture of uncapped decking. It seems to come on strong and takes constant effort to keep the decking clear of it, especially for a self-proclaimed “no maintenance” product.
Color Fading
Everybody knows color fades in the sun, but composite decking companies seem to be oblivious to what their products are really capable of. Some composite decking has faded so quickly in just a couple of seasons that replacements boards stand out like a sore thumb. Just like the mold, this issue is unpredictable and hard to understand which decking will have problems and which will not.
Warping & Shrinking
It’s not wood, so it shouldn’t be expanding and moving the same, right? Right! It actually moves more AND more unexpectedly than wood decks. Some composite decking won’t move a bit and others have been found to shrink, swell, warp, twist, bow, and any other word you want to use in amounts unheard of, even with wood. Again, it seems completely random when this happens, but it happens often enough that you should know about it.
Weakening
This one has been the issue that I encounter most- composite decking boards that feel like a trampoline when you walk on them. They have gotten so spongey that they sag from one board to the next making your decking like a mini rollercoaster. I notice this issue showing up after a decade or more of use, but it certainly shows up and when it does it usually makes the deck unusable. Check out the video below to see how springy these boards can really get!
